Grant grew up in Grange and went to St. Columba’s Primary School at Wilston as a young boy. He has played soccer for Newmarket Soccer Club and Grange Thistle Soccer Club. He lives in the area and his parents still live in the house he grew up in! His memories of growing up in Grange were always going to bring him back so that he can serve this community.
He graduated from the University of Queensland in 2009 with his Bachelor of Dental Science and believed he would be able to not only fix teeth and gums, but that he would be able help to prevent oral health problems in the first place.
After 8 years of working in various private dental practices, he realised that he was fixing plenty of teeth, but not solving the problems that he thought he would.
Method Dental is Grant’s way to go about fixing teeth and preventing problems by increasing the awareness about oral health problems and how to prevent them. He visits local schools and kindergartens to educate the kids about oral health, he is passionate about producing content for the internet about oral health issues and he’s on a mission to change the way that we view dentistry and oral health.
JASMINE OOI BPharm
Meet the person who is most likely to greet you at the door or answer your phone call! Jasmine is Co-founder of Method Dental, along with Grant, as well as the Receptionist, Practice Manager and our very own in-house Pharmacist!
She has worked as a pharmacist at various pharmacies across Brisbane and Toowoomba since graduating in 2011 from the University of Queensland. As a pharmacist, Jasmine is able to help a lot of people with their health. But the environment of Method Dental offers the chance to affect more personal and meaningful changes.
Jasmine completed her Certificate IV in Practice Management in 2017 and has embraced her role in both managing the clinic and in welcoming and calming our patients! The best part of her job is getting to know and learning all about our awesome patients, playing with the kiddies at the kids corner and making everyone feel warm and welcomed.
Ellie is a passionate health advocate and has been dental assisting for over ten years. She received her Certificate III in Dental Assisting in 2008 after completing a school-based traineeship, for which she was awarded the Southbank Institute’s Excellence Award and became a finalist for the Bob-Marshman Queensland Trainee of the Year.
Ellie comes from a family of dentists, but when she is not working at Method Dental, Ellie is studying towards her degree in Clinical Psychology. She also works as a behavioural therapist delivering home and kindergarten based early intensive behavioural intervention programs to children with Autism.
Ellie’s approach to health care is supportive and strengths-based. She believes that good health is more than the absence of disease and that preventative methods, early intervention and education are all important factors in promoting lasting, optimal health.
